Use canonical URLs to help reducing duplicate results in search engines #1469

Currently when you search some 11ty docs in search engines, it's possible to see a result like this:

This is because we have many version or feature variants of the documentation living in production. We need to set a canonical url that points to the latest, main version of that page.

I'm eager to open a PR for this once I have some time but I wanted to report this first.

I do think this is worthwhile, but just for prioritization reasons I do no longer see this in the result example you posted: https://duckduckgo.com/?t=ffab&q=11ty+global+data+file+list&ia=web

Update: ah, welp, nevermind, I see v0-11-0 and a v2-0-0 link there
