Project: Data data everywhere, what we use and what we share

It would be great to sit down and discuss what data we use in our research, with possible outcomes being:

• establishing collaborations using the same data
• publishing the data online for others to access
• identifying public datasets that can be used for research problems

And more!

Sounds like a great idea to have a central index of clean datasets that are open access and used by ACEMS people. Maybe just a GitHub repo on the ACEMS Org page that has the metadata of what each dataset has in it and it's general structure?

One thing that I'd also be interested in is seeing if we can apply the realtime plotting from here: https://github.com/ropenscilabs/realtime to some of our datasets

We have started putting together a proposal for how the ACEMS website could list the projects, papers and data sets for each person.
