Check that the waveform string PVs such as 9idcLAX:USAXS:sampleTitle and 9idcLAX:USAXS:userDir are represented as strings in the HDF5 file written by area detector and not as numerical arrays of the 8-bit characters.

To be explicit, add the attribute: datatype="STRING"

When that is done:

  1. close this issue
  2. check the area detector check box here
  3. close issue 9idcLAX:USAXS:userDir should be a waveform string usaxs-bluesky-ended-2023#151
