The Mobilome Ontology describes bacterial mobile genetic elements, their mechanisms, and associated epidemiology. It is a collaboration between the Comprehensive Antibiotic Resistance Database (https://card.mcmaster.ca; laboratory of Dr. Andrew McArthur), Simon Fraser University (laboratory of Dr. William Hsiao), and Guelph University (laboratory of Dr. Nicole Ricker), with contributions from members of the Canadian Integrated Rapid Infectious Disease Analysis (IRIDA.ca) project and the Public Health Agency of Canada.
