Integration with existing vcontrold raspberry pi via network

How did you manage to let vcontrold with the connected usb reader to the vitocal post data via mqtt?
.I also have a raspberry pi with the good old vcontrold setup running since 2014 and pulling data into the rrdb database.
As I am running HA on my Synology NAS with docker, I can't use this add-on. Therefore i was thinking to push the relevant data via mqtt to my local mqtt broker, which can than be picked up by HA for visualisation.
