I thought this was resolved at some point but maybe it's a special case? |
Nevermind. This still happens. As long as you are connected to github, the buttons show. Instead of actually working on a project. |
This is resolved on main. Will close when we release. |

Repro:
My guess is it currently shows up if you're logged into GitHub, rather than if there's a repo connected to the current project. The latter is the correct trigger
