Attendees and hacks must adhere to all Tech Connext rules and policies. We reserve the right to perform a technical inspection for any hack.
- 50% - Technical complexity: How technically complex is your solution? This score will be based on the number of APIs / integrations used. Team must provide the judge API REQUEST and RESPONSE or code review of integration usage. Retrieving flight data through the AA Mock Engine or other API will improve your score.
- 30% - Quality: Quality will be determined by the smoothness of your demo. Technical issues and/or crashes will deduct from your score. Proof of automated testing can improve your score.
- 20% - Look and Feel: Was your product designed well? Does it have a solid user experience? Is it optimized for multiple screen sizes?
Each member of the team that wins our API Challenge will receive a 13”, 128GB MacBook Pro
One lucky team will be invited to participate in Hack Wars VI, an American Airlines internal hackathon in Dallas, Texas in Spring 2019 with approximately 1,000 AA participants and 50 top-tier sponsors. Invitees will be partnered with AA employees in teams of 10 with the potential to win incredible prizes based on hack idea, technical complexity, and sponsor API utilization. The winning team will be selected from the top 3 BE Tech Connext Hackathon teams and the AA API winner. Free flights and accommodation for the event accompany an invitation.
