[BUG] mouse does not work while in docked, or handheld mode

everything works fine until i try plugging in a mouse
as soon as i do that, my mouse does this constant ticking sound after a second, then the mouse in game flicks from top left, to the center of the screen, then back to the top left

this keeps repeating until i unplug the mouse,
anyone know anything on how to fix it?
