Hey Madeleine! Appreciate the input ✌️ I (and I'm pretty sure the rest of the team) agree that our UI needs some love. Do you have any further/specific suggestions on this?

When you say "visual hierarchy and emphasis on data display", would you want to see the district info at the top of the map? Or perhaps as some kind of hover-over/tooltip situation within the map? Or did you have something else in mind?

What we discussed at the Hack Night yesterday was basically reordering and changing the look of the text within the blue box at the bottom of the screen. I think I kept the issue ticket open-ended because I figured we/I might want to discuss UI a bit more at the September meetup.

Was there a plan for the map legend? It's currently blank, at least for me.

I think it's just a placeholder right now, serving as a reminder that we want to make sure users can understand what's going on with the map. No plan yet!
