Push Notification Not Working

I have cloned your project and it's running fine but when the application is in the background you cannot see the notifications. I think the code needs to be updated. Are there any other steps you need to perform on Firebase Console other than enabling FireStore?
I am on Samsung a30 with Android 10 installed on it.
