[Idea/Feature tequest] Appstream files integration during registration

Hello,

Recently I was thinking about writing plugin for gnome-software implementing support for AppImages link to an old issue.

Adding installation of appstream files containing metadata about package to registering process would standardize way of integrating AppImages into system, and it would make lives of people willing to integrate this package format into app stores easier.
