d-samal edited this page Dec 1, 2021 · 12 revisions

This Quick Start Guide describes the hardware and software setup needed to run the Example Designs. It also instructs the user how to view Analog signals converted by the AD7768 device using the IIO Oscilloscope.

In the demo configurations there two possible software environments:

  1. DataStorm DAQ runs a Linux Operating System (OS)
  2. DataStorm DAQ runs no Operating System (no-OS). This is instead a single application that can be referred to as Baremetal code.

There are also two possible hardware configurations:

  1. DataStorm DAQ runs standalone.
  2. DataStorm DAQ runs remotely via Ethernet.

To run a demo, first prepare and install the SD Card then select one of the following supported demo configurations.

Supported Demo Configurations

Standalone HW Config Ethernet HW Config
Linux SW Env Standalone with Linux Remote Ethernet with Linux
Baremetal SW Env Standalone Baremetal not supported
