We have recently found that if a profile is in draft mode, and then you try and change the name of the profile it causes all sorts of problems. For example, Heterodendrum oleifolium var. macrocalyx is now Alectryon oleifolius subsp. canescens. The profile H. o. var. macrocalyx was put in draft to make other edits, and the profile name was changed to reflect the new name. Once this was done, the URL remained the Heterodendron name, but all names on the page were now Alectryon. However, this meant that whenever this page was loaded, it came up with a suite of red "an error occurred" messages, and most importantly, further edits to the attributes were impossible. Any attempts to save changes to an attribute were met with a red error message declaring changes were unable to be saved.
When the profile is published and then re-edited the problems go away, however, this is not ideal for the long term, as name changes can be concomitant with other content changes which may require review in draft mode prior to publication.
Although we have workarounds for this (another option is to copy the profile), I am putting it in here as a future problem that will need to be addressed.
