Significant text appearing lag after switching languages

After switching a language and start typing, it takes several seconds for a text to start appearing on the screen.

Expected

After switching system languages text should appear normally.

Observed

After switching languages there is significant lag for text to appear when typing.

Reproduced

1. start Simplenote
2. create new note. (works in old notes too)
3. Start typing in english
4. Switch language to Russian — lag…. text appears a second after it was actually typed in
5. Switch back to english.
6. Start typing again without any lags
7. Switch language to Russian — lag…. text appears a second after it was actually typed in
