Abstract

Wifi and 5G sucks at conferences. We still want to connect. COZ designed the perfect way to connect when data is functioning. We want to take it one step further when data is NOT functioning, so people never again lose valuable connections. We want this to be automagic.

Proposal Information

Description

COZ was the best first step at a wearable bringing information to those that need it when they need it. Now, the second step is to provide wearables to do two things, to provide information, and to porovide it securely. We allo know that qr codes at crypto conferences are very dangerous. We propose a better way, through wearables, where the information traded is minimal, (a public key), and when they reaccess their devices later, it would download all information the contact wanted others to have, through a CRM designed by W3B3WAV3.

To further test the theory, we are renting a 4000 person cruise ship, and plan to make the beta test of this, go live on that cruise, the W3B3WAV3. This will allow both testing, troubleshooting, and business development to a captive audience.

We are the next iteration of Web3. We are the WAV3. Come say hello!

Motivation

We believe your backing of COZ shows that you know the value of getting good information. True information trading should also be 110% safe. With luck, and your funding, all you should have to do is WAV3.

Goals

We want to bring the best contactless, internetless connections to your community, that are verifiable, and more importantly SAFE!

Deliverables & Roadmap

Specify deliverables in detail, including the following info for each:

  • Total Estimated Duration: 90 days
  • Full-Time Equivalent (FTE): 10
  • Total Budget: 125000 GAS
  1. Design hardware to connect and send serials
  2. Design CRM front end to make connections function seamlessly
  3. Design CRM export
  4. Design CRM backend to allow trading of specific information (email, telegram, linkedin, twitter, phone, etc.)
  5. Use NEO to negotiate transactions, to allow all transactions to be tracked on chain
  6. Only allow trading of information for people/entities that have accounts, and can show verifiably they have gotten another public key, at the same time they gave their public key, through hardware confirmations
  7. BETA test on the W3B3WAV3
  8. LAUNCH at Consensus 2024 with NEO, with all attendees getting a WAV3 device, hopefully in partnership with COZ.

Deliverables Verifiability

  1. Hardware design submissions would be opensource, and provided to build a better product.
  2. CRM wouild have alpha test with community. Some testers would receive WAV3 device to test.
  3. CRM Alpha would be able to verify through use.
  4. Profiles would allow importation of specific information via fields.
  5. Alpha testers could eventually use the blockchain to trade their "trading card"
  6. All information is private, to prevent spam. Also reflected in terms and conditions.
  7. All W3B3WAV3 participants would receive a WAV3 device, and information how to activate. (All would be preactivated, but need to be bonded to a profile.)
  8. If BETA is sucessful, we would launch at Consensus 2024, and it is very public.

Budget Plan

  1. Hardware testing we believe will use about 2/3 of the budget.
  2. CRM will be small portion of budget, as it is already being designed for the cruise.
  3. NEO integration we assume will be roughly 1/3 of the budget.
  4. We are already planning the cruise. This is a value add-on that ends up being a fantastic resource for conferences. Contacts traded SAFEly.
  5. As we are already hosting a $5M cruise, with 4000 participants, this would be an ideal add-on, and a huge way to attract interest in NEO.

Short-Bio

The WAV3 was built as we saw the need for better communications and better networking than classic conferences provide. Moreover, we want it to be safe and natural. We thought the perfect use case was a place where internet DOESN'T always work. The W3B3WAV3 was born.

Hey @thisthatjosh and @Web3Leon, welcome to GrantShares and thanks for you proposal.

Honestly, I think the proposal is difficult to grasp. Since I talked to you guys at Consensus, it made sense to me, but for other people not familiar with w3b3wav3 it's hard to understand the context and the goals.
So, if you want to continue with this proposal, you'll have to give more context/structure especially in the section for verifiable results.
Otherwise, I recommend sending an email directly to the OneBand team at COZ (https://www.coz.io/contact-us) because this proposal mostly aims at the OneBand tech. In that case you can cancel this proposal via the GrantShares web page.

You can cancel or edit your proposal by going to the proposal page logging in with your GitHub account and then clicking on either "Edit Proposal" or "Withdraw".

Love this idea and concept. I did not find it hard to understand or grasp. Have you defined yet what the wearable will be?

Honestly, I think the proposal is difficult to grasp.

I agree with @csmuller ☝️.

My honest and constructive feedback is as follows:

  • The proposal led me to believe that you guys want to have some different sort of internet connectivity on a cruise ship. Maybe because of the "Internetless connections" words. Maybe you guys have to rethink that. Can you explain this in a different way?
  • You added the word "COZ" in the title and throughout the text. I understand that the OneBand could be used for this purpose, but, can you please focus on W3B3WAV3? I would re-write parts of the proposal to mention the relation of OneBand to this project explicitly.
  • What's a "WAV3 device"?
  • You mentioned that you're "renting a 4000 person cruise ship, and plan to make the beta test of this" -> when? can you edit the proposal and include this info?
  • The proposal contains several misspellings and ambiguous sentences. 😞

You can cancel or edit your proposal by going to the proposal page logging in with your GitHub account and then clicking on either "Edit Proposal" or "Withdraw".

☝️ follow these steps to edit the proposal. 🌱

There are several different methods. While COZ has a ring that could be integrated, it does not function without live internet. We believe this can either be a softwaree solution through the phone, or in the alternative, be a hardware solution of a wireless pad along the lines of the pads used by COZ with a memory function that would connect to phones via bluetooth.

I'm trying to understand this proposal, what I think it describes is;

  • There will be a centralized CRM where people will need to register and provide email, telegram, linkedin, twitter, phone, etc.)
  • then they need to bind their wearable to that profile (I assume this requires internet connectivity)
  • after that they can exchange all information securely without internet connectivity at e.g. a conference

If that is a correct understanding

  1. Can you please elaborate how you will use the following

Use NEO to negotiate transactions, to allow all transactions to be tracked on chain

As the blockchain is only accessible over the internet, how will this work without internet connectivity?

  1. How different is/what benefit does your solution have over sharing a linktr.ee like profile via scanning QR codes with an app on your phone? Such a solution arguably also doesn't need internet connectivity. It can just store the URLs until there is connectivity.

PS: the website in the description doesn't work.
