Here is my today's discussion point regarding to shopping and inventory items.
it might be beneficial if items in the shop experience inflation. For example, it would be useful if the cost of an item increased by a certain percentage when I returned to buy it or after purchasing the item multiple times. This may sound unusual, but I need some control over purchasing inventory items. I want them to be obtainable only as a reward after accomplishing a task or achievement related to that specific item. This would provide positive reinforcement to complete a specific task or achievement to obtain the item, rather than just earning enough coins from other tasks. I thought item cost inflation might automate this process and provide reasonable system-calculated value to buy the item instead if setting the price evey time manually.
You might consider the following to implement the inflation concept in the shop list:
Increase the cost of the item by a certain percentage after buying the item a specified number of times.
Increase the cost of the item by a fixed amount of coins whenever returning to buy it again.
Increase the cost of the item by a random percentage within a set range. I think this is more convenient to adapt the concept of inflation in realistic terms.
