What is your request or suggestion?

Since we are adding more distro support we are starting to see some potential for divergence in implemented features.
One example of this is in #205 we are adding support for generating gomods, however each distro needs to add their own support for it and, e.g. the Jammy PR #87 does not have this (since neither is merged).

Coming up with a gdecent interface will be tough I think, but maybe worth thinking about as we're adding 3 very different packaging implementations.
