HTTPS required while using geolocation in Chrome 50

Chris van Lith edited this page May 12, 2016 · 2 revisions

Starting with Chrome 50 Google requires that calls to the geolocation functions are done from a secure page (using HTTPS). Flamingo 4 uses the geolocation function to center the map on the current location. As of Chrome 50 this will no longer work if no secure connection is used. All other Flamingo4 functions will not be influenced by this change.

Flamingo4 is fully compatible via HTTPS and it is good practice to run Flamingo4 under HTTPS. If you currently do not run under HTTPS this may be a good time to start doing so. B3Partners will be able to offer advice on the subject.
