I noticed in the testing suite that there's always a process like,

autosubmit log t03c recovery local

Even after the LOCAL_SETUP task finished and if there are no more jobs for the local platform. I guess it would be technically feasible to check which platforms are still in use in the graph/workflow, and only keep the remote processes for those platforms. That could reduce the number of processes in the VM, and the memory usage.
