Uploader should handle server response of "fail:null" #10

The gateway currently doesn't deal well with a server response of "fail:null". It will retry forever. Probably the right thing to do is just mark it as a .BTX and not retry, but I should confirm with Anne.

Anne agrees that I should just mark as .BTX and not retry.
