Permalink queries ignore a bunch of things

I'm having trouble getting a handle on the exact scope of this, but AFAICT, when you create a link and then open a link, the following things don't get propagated through to the new query:

1. capitalization settings
2. smoothing span
3. time measurement (!)

Probably worth waiting a little bit for my push on the backend API changes, but it's a pretty big gap for a lot of things people would want to share.
