Description

Ensure that upon registration, users are automatically given the most restricted privilege. Also, ensure that administrators / server creators are given admin-level privileges.

Admission Criteria

Professor and TA accounts should have administrative privileges, while students, upon first creating an account, should have the restrictions described in #10 .

Justification
Still in progress towards Milestone 1:

  • Limited tag posting for registered users as detailed in Permission-Conditioned Posting #10
  • Still need to refine tagging abilities with pre-loaded tag data for admin and moderators
  • Can benefit from specifying scope further for tagging from an admin and moderator role
  • Can benefit from extension into chat privileges to avoid overlap with other issues
