SHARE Notify documentation should specify the warranties SHARE asserts about the data we make available to SHARE Notify consumers. This should articulate the guarantees and limitations with respect to data provenance, long-term availability, etc., of the metadata. These warranties should be spelled out clearly on Notify registration and SHARE websites.
