The issue here to allow the download of the original file opens the door to security holes like steganography technics (virus,app,video, audio or other bits embedded in the video) and potential blacklist PT from the web.

? steganography is used to communicate between two cooperating parties without being detected. for everyone else it would just appear like a regular video, it wouldn't be able to infect anyone. furthermore steganography can be designed to survive video compression. i don't understand how this is related.
