Hey, I've written a nodejs clamav client using the API on standard port 3311.

https://code.foss.global/push.rocks/smartantivirus

However the Eicar test string is reported as uninfected... Any idea why?

I'm sending the string as utf-8 encoded buffer.

@philkunz I don't have enough information to reproduce this issue. ClamAV will detect the EICAR string if correctly formatted/scanned. It's possible you need some escape characters in a string/script or something.

Do you have a public SSH key? Then I could provide you with a VM showing the issue.
