Failures on cloudzero.com/agent label when using longer image.repository values

The cloudzero.com/agent label is populated here. The truncation can be problematic particularly when using an ECR repo like: <account_id>.dkr.ecr.us-east-1.amazonaws.com/<registry>/cloudzero/cloudzero-agent

If the truncation results in a leading hyphen, this will be an invalid entry and cause failures to apply anything with that label. Is there a way that a shortened label could be used, for example .Values.image.tag, when the chart is configured to do so?
