5.1.6 has networked printer problems

Several issues here:

5.1.6 won't find my k1 Max on the network.
5.1.6 only refers to 'wifi printing' ??
5.1.6 requires an IP address - PPP.QQQ.RRR.SSS - won't accept a host name (k1max.local)
5.1.6 doesn't allow a port selection for the printer.

Given that it looks like a straight rip-off of Orca, why??
