Using Mario & Sonic at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games character model files on modelfbx #18
Comments
Use modelfbx from Skyth's fork, it can grab bones from the model |
Yeah, but how do I? |
OK, so I tried changing up the code in modelfbx-convert-example.bat in that fork, but I still don't seem to be getting it right. Can you help please? |
OK, so I tried dragging the file onto modelfbx.exe, then I got the .fbx with bones. I congratulate myself, but how can I get its textures and animations onto it? |
So, I did the things were I dragged the .model files into the modelfbx.exe in Skyth's fork, so I got the model with its bones, but how can I get the textures and animations? |
The DDS textures are actually GTX files with DDS extension. You'll need to convert them. |
I converted the textures to .png. However, when I did, the textures didn't show up on the model. Can I get help? Also, too bad about the animations. I would want to take the camera into the character's mouth during the animation being played to see what it would look like. It would be cool. |
Sorry, I should have been more specific. You have to convert them to DDS, not PNG. modelfbx accepts DDS only. |
Looks like there is an issue with the recent Mario & Sonic Olympics Tokyo 2020. Adding it here since these games may be relatively similar. Runs on Hedgehog2, too. |
Is there any working GTX to DDS converter? |
@VideoGamePlayer7 A pretty good gtx converter is GTX-Extractor |
Hello, can I possibly use character model files from Mario & Sonic at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games on modelfbx.exe? I want to know if I can do that, although the models for the body and head are two seperate models. Is it possible to do this? I tried looking at the code in modelfbx-convert-example.bat.
