The debug_vs plugin in QGIS is currently set to 0.7 with ptvsd as backend. The new 0.8 works with pydebug, but seems to be broken. See this PR: lmotta/debug_vs_plugin#14.

When the PR is closed and merged, we can move to the latest plugin version.

qgis debugging has been removed for now, since it made #1285 a bit annoying.

Let's add it back when lmotta/debug_vs_plugin#14 is merged and released.
