Archery is an skill that adds various abilities to make fighting with a bow more effective.

XP Gain

Experience is gained through hitting mobs or players by shooting them with a bow. The further the distance, the more exp the player will gain.

Default Ability

Daze

This ability is usable by everyone regardless of player's level. By default this should max out at the highest archery level; 1000 giving a 15% chance to Daze the target. This ability has a chance force the player to look up, freezing them and making them dizzy.

Passive Unlocked Abilities

Puncture

Puncture is an ability that has a chance to inflict Bleed from the Swords skill. This ability will use any modifiers from the Swords skill such as Bleed+, Deeper Wound and Vampire. This ability is very useful for players who have invested a lot into their Swords skill while also making it worthwhile to grind for even pure archery users.

Tipped Arrows

Tipped arrows is an ability that has a chance to inflict players shot by normal arrows with Poison, Slowness or Blindness. This is the default out of box configuration. It is possible to use any potion effect so these values may differ from server to server. This ability is best used either as a support role or when approaching for melee combat.

Combo

Combo is an ability that increases damage of consecutive shots done by a player. Higher level increases the multiplier and the length between shots. This is best used when shooting incoming melee players, allowing easier hits and high damage before the enemy can reach you.

Blessing Of Artemis

Summon the power of the Goddess of the Hunt to gain invisibility and to have your fired arrow deal a lot more damage.

Blessing Of Apollo

Summon the power of the Sun God embeds your fired arrow with Apollo's power. The next arrow will ignite the target and remove their positive potion effects. Activating this ability also provides fire resistance for a short time. This ability is a great counter to berserk abilities such as Tainted Blade or Blood Lust, allowing you to remove all buffs and leave the opponent weakened by the rebound effects.

Curse of Hades

Let the power of the God of the Undead enter your bow allowing the next shot to deal Wither, slowness and blindness to the target. This ability is best used to land a final blow on an opponent, drastically reducing their chances to escape your grasp.
