On my new WordPress 5.3.2 install this plugin is generating 2 diaspora posts for each WordPress post.

WordPress site: https://this.needsfixin.net
diaspora account: https://podington.oksocial.net/people/3e5bc7d0074301380272000c2952f506

I've just been deleting the duplicate post, but it'd be great to not have to do that. ;-)

@us3r1d I've just released version 3.0.1.

Please give it a go and give me any feedback, thanks!

3.0.2 has been released which contains a fix.

It is happening again.
Just deleted three duplicate Posts on diaspora.
The last three months ago.

Hmm, this might have to do with certain connection timeouts / lags or something 🤔

Is it happening with every post or just a few seemingly random ones?

The last three posts every time.

Have you recently upgraded any plugin or WP core?

@HDValentin

I regularly update WordPress and the Plugins.
I think this is a normal behavior if I don't want to run in security issues.

Absolutely, it's great behaviour to keep everything up to date!

My question is more:
Did this behaviour start just after a certain update?

Might be some other plugin, or WP core itself, that has some change that is interfering.

Thanks.
I don't know. I have just seen, that the last three post on Diaspora had doublets. Sorry that I can't say more.
The latest post is three month ago.

WP to diaspora 4.0.0 on wordpress 6.4.2

Hello,
I installed the extension a few days ago and this is the second time that my publications have been duplicated :-(

Hi @prolibre, sorry to hear that.

Are you using post scheduling or does the duplication happen with a normal "Publish"?

@prolibre

Hello @noplanman
This is a "normal publication". I made my draft, indicated the publication as "awaiting proofreading", then, once finished, I published it normally from the article page.
On Diaspora the two publications seem to have arrived at the same time but next time I'll look more closely at the timestamp (I've already deleted the duplicate).
The only small difference is that I use the ActivityPub plugin (for mastodon) at the same time.

I've activated debug mode but it's no use :-)
So I've got a two-second time difference between the duplicates. I also notice that after publication, the message telling me that the post has been published on diaspora refers to the second publication.

@prolibre I'm sorry I've not had time to look into this.

I'd appreciate it if anybody wants to dig into this, I'm just swamped with other work right now... 😕

Hi @noplanman
For further information.
If I uncheck the "Post to diaspora*" box in the extension settings, and check the same box in the article settings, before publication, I don't get any duplicates.

That's great feedback @prolibre, thanks!

I've reopened the issue and when I find some time I'll look into it.
