Absinthe ingredients

Hello!, i've tried to make absinthe but i can't add grass to the cauldron, i tried short grass, fern, seeds and none of which worked, short grass and fern i wasnt able to put into the cauldron and seeds just gave me a murky distillate. Anyone know any solution??
