Here's a list of changes I think would improve the rating system

  • Allow rating galleries from the index page without a page reload
  • Change the right-click menu to instead have the stars as buttons, I.E how E-H does them, quick example below, position would need to be moved to top or bottom
    image
  • Add the above rating star buttons to the archive overview page
  • Allow searching for ratings via numerical numbers instead of emojis (rating:1), clicking the rating tag should similarly add this format to the search so users know its possible
The Rating tag using emoji's looks nice but its not easy to type in when trying to do a search normally, not sure if they can be kept as emoji's for the visual?

Are you also looking for the ability to rate archives in half-star increments, like in the example picture? Currently, the system only supports full-star ratings.

Personally, I think 5 stars is enough, half-star ratings could be a nice-to-have if we were to add displaying a galleries E-H avg rating from the metadata I suppose.. But i think its fairly unnecessary otherwise
