Better way of conditionally rendering empty nodes

After #2026, I have littered my app with this pattern:

pub fn placeholder_node() -> Option<VNode> {
  None
}

    let tip = if condition {
      rsx! {
        Tooltip {
          "{ hint }"
        }
      }
    } else {
      placeholder_node()
    };

   rsx! {
     SomeComponent {
        ...
        { tip }
   }
}

After 022e4ad, the placeholder_node function would probably have to change to something like 👇🏼 . Not sure that it would even work.

pub fn placeholder_node() -> Result<VNode, RenderError> {
   Ok(Placeholder::Empty())
}

Which gets me thinking, is there a better way to conditionally render a child node? I feel like I have misused #2026

If I can avoid using empty nodes, I can also avoid having <pre hidden></hidden> being rendered .
