Currently the eox-timecontrol offers playback for WMS layers in the map, but for larger datasets the experience is not that smooth. An enhanced functionality would allow to

  • pre-fetch the datasets for the requested timestamps / time period
  • render the animation as gif/mp4 and provide it as downloadable file
  • optionally set things as speed, etc.
