Cannot update / replace / delete file in existing data publication

I tried to update an existing file in a new draft of a published data repository (https://b2share.eudat.eu/records/1b97449043954b38b7637ffa4911631f).
The file gnss-r.zip is relatively large (1.4 GB), but all options fail:

• overwriting the file via "add b2drop files": upload starts, then "internal server error" after a while
• overwriting the file via "drop files here": upload starts, then "internal server error" after a while
• deleting the file first: file remains, cannot be deleted

Updating all other files worked flawlessly.

Workaround:
I finally submitted the draft for publication, then created yet another draft version, where I explicitly deleted the file before updating. Then, the upload of the new file from b2drop succeeded. However, this is somewhat cumbersome.
