The symbol shows up in the prebattle scene before pressing the last button. We could look for it, set a flag, and if set, next battle switch to the next formation. Could also just add a delay in, or when it sees it start adding a delay in. Quite a few things, but something that would be cool to address.
I am competent in Python, but have not had time to implement this myself. Just found this script yesterday.

Sure, it seems pretty useful. If you want to try implementing this yourself, feel free to do so and open a pr. For now I'll label it as an "Enhancement".
