Currently the workflow is to install Exodus, do a database pull and then check the list for known trackers per app.
However, if a user installs a new app. It does not appear in the list immediately (at least it does not on Xperia 1V). To make the app appear the fastest way is to delete all the app data storage, and download the entire database again.
Simply swiping to update the database doesn't make the app list update with any new app you've installed. There should be an option at least to even manually force an update of the list of installed apps.
Note that the button down the bottom right which looks like a clock with a circle around it does not adequately refresh the list of installed apps.
EDIT: I think it's also a little bit too easy to trigger a full database refresh by swiping down.
