Chat -if Click/ tap on 'New Messages' button it scrolls but not shown the new message

Action Performed:

1. Launch the app and log in
2. Navigate to a 1:1 conversation that has a large history of messages.
3. Scroll the conversation a little and tap hold/hover over a message from the other user and mark the message as "Unread"
4. Scroll further up the conversation and verify a "New Messages" button appears
5. Click/ tap on New Messages button

Expected Result:

User is scrolled to the message you marked as unread. When hitting the button, the conversation should scroll to the message so it comes into view.

Actual Result:

When Click/ tap on the 'New Messages' button it scrolls but not shown the new message.

hey @jliexpensify, I don't think this is a bug. The expected behavior of the "new messages" button is to scroll to the bottom of the chat and that change will be made once this pr is reverted @marcaaron

@srikarparsi my thoughts too - I just tested this flow (before I saw your comment) and everything seems to work fine re: new messages for me. Closing this one!
