--> We need a PLAN! Read and understand task, come up with a plan, assign smaller tasks, work, discuss, share! It is important to have a basic outline of the project to know more or less what is happening.
--> I get my best work done when I actually understand the subject 🙃. Patience and a willingness to go through concepts with me is much appreciated.
--> In a supportive team with good listeners!
--> I didn't know this about me but it has happened that I, too, became a Rabbit Hole Victim - if you see this happening, please slap me (metaphorically... with your words... gently... but firmly...) coz we ain't got time to waste!! ! ! !! !!
The role I usually take in a team:
I do not enjoy faffing around, so if no one seems to be comfortable and eager to take the lead, I will try to read the situation and allocate tasks. Otherwise, I am fine with following an other person as leader, but will raise issues or question choices (constructively and open-mindedly, of course).
My communication style:
Very open. I will voice most things that bother me or things I do not understand/I see someone else doesn't understand and will strive to have a positive conclusion. I believe in talking things out, and I also consider myself a good listener - I expect others to listen to me in exchange.
If I get comfortable (and it happens quite often/easily, to be honest), I tend to just let my jokes go, and just hope that others get them (if not, it's even more entertaining).
--> Not really about communication, but I tend to sing a lot in vocal white spaces, hope it's ok. (I don't think I can stop.)
What I value:
Good communication, open-mindedness, people who listen and are attentive to the little things. People singing with me. Also, sloths. Also, people valuing me.
What people misunderstand about me:
Most things, to be honest. Because of my 'silliness', people tend to think I am silly, and not smart etc. BUT I AM THO [Anna angrily shakes fist at cloud].
I have been told I sometimes start conversations/stories in medias res, so if this happens when we talk, and you don't know what is happening, please tell me, and I will kindly explain ab ovo!!!
How I like to get my feedback:
In form of an interpretive dance. (I don't know yet!!! But I love feedback and I think it is SO important in, well, any sort of situation/relationship/etc, so bring it on.)(I shall update this later, after getting different kinds of feedback.)
--> IN ANY FORM. GIVE IT TO ME. STRAIGHT UP SAY IT TO MY FACE. I'm serious. I want to improve as a person, and I believe I'm oblivious to the real issues that may arise. Tell. Me. Please.
