Hi all! Sorry if this is in the docs somewhere and I just overlooked it. I did search the discussion forum as well, to no avail. My question is: how does one change a passphase? I made a typo when entering it originally (US keyboard layout vs. German keyboard layout) and it's a nuisance now... |

There's no changing the passphrase of an existing file per se. You can decrypt the file with the old one and encrypt it with the new one. |

Oh, I see. The passphrase is not connected to the identity, but to the file. So when using this together with gopass and multiple identities (= team members), there's quite a bit of effort involved. Thank you for the very quick response, I'll need to think on this for a bit. |
