About verifying student status.

First of all I know this is not the right place to ask this question and I am supposed to email you guys, tweet or ask you guys on your IRC, but since I am not getting any reply on those channels, I am gonna post this here since this is the only place I can see some activities.

My school email address does not end in .edu, so is there anyway you guys can verify my student status? My floobits account is linked w/ this github account and the username is the same.
