Affected app version

1.3.0

Affected Android/Custom ROM version

Android 15

Affected device model

Pixel 8

How did you install the app?

F-Droid / IzzyOnDroid

Steps to reproduce the bug

  1. Install both the Fossify Phone and Fossify Contacts app.
  2. Set both of them as the respective defaults.
  3. Give the contacts app access to all contacts stored locally on the device without any syncing.
  4. Some of the contacts will provide the "No Valid App Found" error and others will display with the Fossify Contacts app UI as usual.

Expected behavior

I expect for every contact to be able to be accessed and display the Fossify Contacts UI upon tap.

Actual behavior

When some of the contacts are tapped, they provide the "No Valid App Found" error. Even though, those same contacts work perfectly fine within the Fossify Contacts app.

  1. By local, do you mean Phone storage (not visible by other apps) or another local storage? If another, how it's called?
  2. Are not working contacts stored in the same storage as the working ones?

  1. I meant Phone Storage
  2. All contacts are stored in the same storage, working and not-working.
