Cues

Media cues

Keyboard shortcut: CTRL+M

Media cues allow you to playback an audio file by clicking the cue.
Right-clicking a Media cue brings up a menu with more cue info/edition/playback options.
The Edit option... dialog allows you to edit a cue properties:

  • Appearance: Text, font size, colors
  • Controller: Keyboard shortcuts for cue playback.
  • Cue: Sequence settings for the cue (pre/post wait time, auto-next action, pause options)
  • Media Settings: Audio properties/automation for the cue.
  • URI Input: File loading options.
  • Fade: Fade out/in times/curves.
  • Volume: Audio volume for the cue.
  • Equalizer: a 10-band graphic EQ.
  • DbMeter: display options for the cue level meter.
  • Media-cue: Playback start and stop times inside the audio file, Loop settings.
  • Triggers: Set up the cue to play/pause/stop on an event in another cue (Start/stop/pause/end)

The top-left color indicator in each Media cue shows the playback state:

  • Grey: Stopped
  • Green: Playing
  • Orange: Paused

Action cues

Volume Control cues

A Volume Control cue allows you to trigger a volume change/fade-in/out on a selected (only one) Media cue.
In addition to the common cue options, the Volume Control Edit options... > Volume Settings dialog allows you to setup:

  • One target Media cue
  • A volume value to reach
  • A fade time/curve

Move/copy cues in the Cart view

You can move cues on the Cart View grid using CTRL+Drag&Drop
You can copy (duplicate) cues on the Cart View grid using SHIFT+Drag&Drop

Selecting/Editing multiple cues

You can select all cues at once using Edit > Select All (CTRL+A), or toggle selection state of any cue by right-clicking on them and clicking Select (CTRL+Left-Click on the cue).
While multiple cues are selected, click Edit > Edit selected media (CTRL+SHIFT+E), then change the appropriate options. Changes will be applied to all selected cues.
