Sorry for posting this here. I know this is for bugs and issues. I am blocked trying to configure ODBC and FreeTDS for Sybase SQL Anywhere. I tried to get access to the mailing list but have had no luck.

I posted up to Stack overflow at: https://stackoverflow.com/questions/79449128/freetds-tls-is-not-configured-correctly-for-sybase-sql-anywhere

Probably something very simple that I am missing. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Warren Bell

I have the feeling you are trying something that is still not supported by FreeTDS.
Can you do a network dump of the working connection with working proprietary driver ?

Thanks for your response. I will get a network dump posted here soon.

I have two dumps. One using win odbc and the win sybase driver. The server is at 192.168.1.5 (windows) and so is the win ODBC that I am testing from. The win odbc is configured to connect to 192.168.1.5. This connection is successful.

The other one is from my mac at 192.168.1.20 coming from within a Docker image running freeTDS and odbc on Ubuntu.

@freddy77

How should I get these to you. I am a little nervous about the whole dump being on this site.

They arrived... somehow. Maybe you edited the message and removed them editing the message? You can send me to my email in the future (not hard to find it).

Small update about the logs. The protocol used by Windows drivers is pretty different. They mention TLS but it's not really a standard TLS protocol. I could not find any documentation related about it. Saying in other words it's currently not supported and it could take quite some time to support it.

@freddy77 Thanks for your time. I appreciate it. I am starting to look into using an actual Sybase ODBC driver. Thanks again.
