Issue: A timeline range typically is the min and max dates of the associated documents. However portions of a range can cause minimal changes to the map view if documents are temporally clustered in sections of the range.
Solution: Allow the timeline range to be defined in set ranges. e.g. 1790 to 1830, 1859 to 1868, 2000 to 2016.
