Hacktoberfest Design Templates

Welcome to the Hacktoberfest Design Templates repository, a creative hub for designers of all levels and backgrounds! As we celebrate Hacktoberfest, we invite you to contribute your design skills to the open-source community by sharing your original design templates and collaborating with fellow enthusiasts.

How to Contribute

  1. Fork this Repository: Begin by clicking the "Fork" button in the top-right corner of this repository. This action will create a copy of the repository in your GitHub account.

  2. Clone your Fork: To start working on your designs, clone the repository to your local machine using the git clone command. This allows you to make changes to the design files offline.

  3. Create Your Design: You have the creative freedom to either craft entirely new design templates or enhance existing ones. Our design scope is broad, including social media graphics, website templates, icons, logos, and more. Your imagination is the limit!

  4. Check the Issues: Before diving into your design project, explore the repository's issues section. Here, you'll find open tasks and design ideas contributed by the community. If you discover an issue that sparks your interest, please comment on it to express your intention to work on it.

  5. Assignment of Issue: After expressing your interest, please wait for a project maintainer to assign the issue to you. We ask that you refrain from creating a Pull Request (PR) until you have been assigned the issue to prevent duplicated efforts and ensure efficient collaboration.

  6. Commit and Push: As you work on your design project, regularly commit your changes and push them to your forked repository. This practice helps you keep track of your progress and ensures your work is saved safely.

  7. Submit a Pull Request: When you've completed your design and are satisfied with the changes, open a Pull Request (PR) to merge your work into the main repository. When creating your PR, provide a clear and concise description of the changes you've made and be sure to link it to the assigned issue. This makes it easy for project maintainers to review your work.

Guidelines

To maintain a positive and collaborative environment within our community, we've outlined some guidelines for contributors:

  • Originality and Attribution: Ensure that your design templates are original or provide proper attribution if they are based on existing work. Respect the intellectual property rights of others.

  • High-Quality Formats: Use high-quality image formats to ensure that your designs are visually appealing and usable in various applications.

  • Communication and Respect: Be respectful and collaborative with fellow contributors. Encourage a healthy exchange of ideas and constructive feedback.

  • Community Engagement: Periodically check the existing issues and discussions within the repository. This allows you to stay updated on specific design requests or ideas from the community, fostering a sense of shared purpose.
