New SOP RequestRequest a new Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for the GDI projectnew-sop-request,enhancement

New SOP Request

This form serves as a template for new GDI SOP requests. It can be used to request a standard operation procedure (SOP) that could help the GDI members to execute a process in a standardized way.
Thank you for contributing to the Genomic Data Infrastructure (GDI) SOPs!

What topic does the new SOP belong to the most? Take a look at the existing classification of SOPs here.

Do you envision the SOP you request to be used at European level or Node-specific? The difference between each is whether the SOP would be used as is by GDI nodes, or adapted by each node to develop their own node-specific SOP. For example, an SOP revolving around how GDI Committees resolve data access requests may be uniform across the whole GDI, while an SOP for how each nodes vetoes this decision may be node-specific.

Provide a brief title of the SOP you are requesting.

Provide a detailed description of what the SOP should cover. Include specific steps, processes, or standards that should be addressed.

Explain the motivation and background for the requested SOP. Why is it needed? Is its content not covered already by other existing SOPs?

If there are any existing procedures, guidelines, or references that could help us fill out the SOP, please provide them here. If applicable, reference other existing SOPs that may have to do with your requested SOP.

Describe the expected impact of implementing this SOP. Who will benefit and how?

List the stakeholders who should be consulted or informed about this SOP.

Provide any additional information or considerations that should be taken into account.
