Suggestion: Power

Could we make power systems inside the vehicle, that supply the energy it drives with or at least slows the rate it uses it? Or convert the fuel into power? You could simply make it so that the more power that's used the faster the vehicle eats fuel, and if the power used is positive, it slows the fuel usage to rather low levels. Why would this be useful? Well A: Its hard to make a new power system each time we make a new vehicle and keeping it supplied. 2: It would be an interesting feature to add. And finally, why not?
