Host File - FQDN - Help

Disclaimer: I dont know if this is the correct forum for this, but I am going off the readme.

For the IP we can use the server's ip or fqdn to access slinger.

If you edit your host file and give your IP a name, i.e. 192.168.1.134 to a name of "sling" and you start your server, on your internal network with vlc you can just watch as follows http:sling:8080/slingbox (or whatever url you choose).

Heres my question, doing the above, but using a wireguard vpn and accessing remote, the above theory does not work and you have to put in the ip of the server, ie. 192.168.1.134.

Any ideas on how to get the fqn to work over wireguard?
